Review of the Last Intra-day:
During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 76 points. The Share Bazaar closed 63 points negative at 6652, after making an intraday high and low of 6718 and 6642 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were mix. FTSE was down 2 points, CAC was up 18 points, and DAX was up 54 points. US markets were mix. Dow Jones closed up 118 points, S&P 500 was up 10 points, and Nasdaq was down by 13 points.
FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:
On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 119 crores in cash segment whereas DIIs sold Rs. 259 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 512 crores in Index futures and FIIs sold Rs. 863 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 339 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 31 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI.
Options Segment Activity:
In f&o market, May series options data tells that, Nifty 6900 call adds 2.9 lac shares. Nifty 6700 put adds 1.7 lac shares. Highest OI of 44.5 lac shares is at 7000 call and 41.5 lac shares is at 6400 put. According to options data, bulls and bears are building positions for election results.
Currency Market:
In the currency market the USDINR closed at 60.14. The INR was weak by 0.03 paisa.
