Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intra-day:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 124 points. The Share Bazaar closed 19 points negative at 6696, after making an intraday high and low of 6780 and 6656 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were mix. FTSE was up 29 points, CAC was down 10 point, and DAX was up 19 points. US markets were mix. Dow Jones closed down 22 points, S&P 500 was down 0.27 points, and Nasdaq was up by 13 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 454 crores in cash segment and DIIs also bought Rs. 6 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 267 crores in Index futures and FIIs sold Rs. 105 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs purchased Rs. 51 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 10 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI. 

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, May series options data tells that, Nifty 6800 call adds 2.1 lac shares. Nifty 6800 put adds 2.7 lac shares. Highest OI of 38.2 lac shares is at 7000 call and 37.1 lac shares is at 6500 put. According to options data, bulls and bears are building positions for May series.

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 60.31. The INR was strong by 0.11 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading mix. Nikkei is down 33 points, Hang Seng is up 146 points, Taiwan is up by 75 points, and Kospi is down by 3 points. Today Nifty opened at 6709 up 15 points and made an intraday high of 6737 and low of 6698 till 10:16 a.m. The market has entered into last stage of distribution with extreme volatility.

For the intraday, till 12:12 p.m. Nifty is up about 7 points. Top gainers for Nifty are NMDC, TATAPOWER, and BPCL while losers are JINDALSTEL, HINDALCO, and TATASTEEL.
