Review of the Last Intra-day:
During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 56 points. The Share Bazaar closed 42 points negative at 6694, after making an intraday high and low of 6741 and 6685 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were up. FTSE was up 46 points, CAC was up 35 points, and DAX was up 67 points. US markets were down. Dow Jones closed down 160 points, S&P 500 was down 24 points, and Nasdaq was down by 110 points.
FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:
On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 232 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 1125 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 599 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 289 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 659 crores and in stock options FIIs bought Rs. 40 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI.
Options Segment Activity:
In f&o market, April series options data tells that, Nifty 6800 call adds 4 lac shares. Nifty 6600 put sheds 2.8 lac shares. Highest OI of 49 lac shares is at 6900 call and 55.2 lac shares is at 6400 put. According to options data, bulls have upper hand on bears.
Currency Market:
In the currency market the USDINR closed at 60.08. The INR was strong by 0.08 paisa.
