Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intra-day:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 36 points. The Share Bazaar closed 21 points negative at 6761, after making an intraday high and low of 6786 and 6750 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were up. FTSE was up 14 points, CAC was up 17 point, and DAX was up 45 points. US markets were mix. Dow Jones closed up 87 points, S&P 500 was up 6 points, and Nasdaq was down by 1 point.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 77 crores in cash segment whereas DIIs sold Rs. 371 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 238 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 540 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 103 crores and in stock options FIIs bought Rs. 72 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI. 

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, May series options data tells that, Nifty 6800 call adds 4.9 lac shares. Nifty 6800 put adds 4.7 lac shares. Highest OI of 32.7 lac shares is at 7000 call and 29.5 lac shares is at 6500 put. According to options data, bulls and bears are building positions for May series.

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 60.65. The INR was weak by 0.05 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading flat. Hang Seng is up 5 points Taiwan is up by 34 points, and Kospi is down by 5 points. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 5 points negative till 7:45 a.m. So we can expect a flat opening. 

Today Nifty opened at 6769 up 8 points and made an intraday high of 6779 and low of 6711 till 10:18 a.m. First day of selling pressure is visible in market.

Mid-day Review:
For the intraday, till 12:28 p.m. Nifty is down about 21 points. Top gainers for Nifty are GRASIM, AMBUJACEM, and ULTRACEMCO while losers are JINDALSTEL, TATASTEEL, and HINDUNILVR.
